Randall Allen Sweeney, 56, of Jolo, WV, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his home following a six year long battle cancer. Born on July 30, 1966 in Welch, WV a son of the late Vestil and Birdie Mounts Sweeney. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Darrell Sweeney and a niece Keegan Sweeney. He was a coalminer at R.S. Mining. He was a loving husband to Rebecca Sweeney and a loving father to three sons Arine Clark and wife Marida of CT, Randall (Oogie) Sweeney, Jr. and companion Rebecca L. Cedeno of CT and Jeffery (Punk) Bryant Jr. and wife Tiffany of Brushfork, three daughters Amie Sweeney of CT, Scarlett Payne and husband J.J. of VA and Emmy Sweeney and companion Cody Vance of WV, loving grandfather to two grandsons Bryson (Hammerhead) Golden, and James (Baby Brother) Payne, III, five granddaughters Amara Clark of CT, Maddie Sweeney of CT, Mia Sweeney of CT, Zoe (Sissy) Payne of WV, Aurora Bryant of Brushfork, six brothers Jerry Sweeney and companion Kay Kennedy of Bartley, Danny Sweeney and wife Donna of Buckeye Hollow, Eugene Sweeney of Atwell, Keith Sweeney and wife Michelle of Bradshaw Mt. and Dave Sweeney of Big Hurley Hollow and Kevin Sweeney and wife Keisha of Bradshaw, a sister Teresa Sweeney, loving uncle to ten nephews and nieces and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 13th at the Family Worship Center, Jolo, WV with Pastor Rose and Bro. Chris Muncy officiating. He will be laid to rest in Sweeney Cemetery, Buckeye Hollow, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 6-9 pm on Sunday, June 12th a the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home.
