Leonard Gene Pifer, 74, of Burke, Va., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Fairfax, Va.
Born December 31, 1947, in Berwick, he was the son of the late Carl G. and Agnes (Nerhood) Pifer.
A graduate of Central High School's Class of 1966, he earned his bachelor's degree in drafting from Penn State University-Hazleton, and computer programming at Syracuse University.
He was employed with the U.S. Government Department of Energy.
Leonard enjoyed traveling, hiking, and reading. He enjoyed investing and was a member of AAII.
Preceding him in death were his sister: Tammy Jo Pifer, and two brothers: Roger Lee and Melvin Delroy Pifer.
