Walter W. Bendix, 50, Kahoka, Mo., farmer and former Des Moines county resident, died at Graham hospital, Keokuk, Ia., early today.
Mr. Bendix had been ill 10 days and recently underwent an appendix operation.
Born here Oct. 10, 1884, he left here in 1927, moving to Kahoka. He was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical church in Burlington. He was married in Burlington Sept. 11, 1920 to Miss Edna Martin who survives. Also surviving are two brothers, Raymond and Leslie of Burlington, a sister, Mrs. Harry Hudgel, Burlington, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bendix of this city, A sister, Goldie, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in Shiloh cemetery on the Lower Augusta road. The body is at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home.
