Lynn Martin Blevins, 70, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2022. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late William Albert and Gladys Mercer Martin. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, Gary Blevins. She was a loyal and loving mother, sister, daughter, wife with a strong willed personality and an enormous heart. She sponsored dozens of impoverished children across the globe. A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 1970 and Old Dominion University in 1974, she worked at the Church Of Ascension and the Civil Service at the Norfolk Naval Base. She was an avid fan of history, genealogy, spending time with her grandchildren, and helping others selflessly. A voracious reader, lifelong camper, creative crafter, and great lover of her childhood Indiana home and its dunes.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, William Martin Pettway, Raymond Pettway IV; Gayle Martin (sister) and her niece and nephews Colleen Jackson, Ian Dwyer, and Tim Dwyer, her dear grandchildren, Colton Pettway and Adalyn Pettway, and the Blevins Family. She will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. She will live on in the love in our hearts eternally.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 9am in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to leave a condolence to the family.
