Clyde A. Gronewold, 83, of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born on April 20, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Clyde and Viola (McDonald) Gronewold.
Clyde is survived by four children, Lisa Kitchens of Bloomington, IL, Diana (Tim) Flynn of Morton, IL, Kyle (Amy) Kallio-Gronewold of Chicago, IL, and Chris (Rebecca) Stone of Bemidji, MN, and his partner Linda Lund.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Clyde worked and retired from Caterpillar Inc. after several years. He was an active member with the Reserve Officers Association Central, IL Chapter (033). He enjoyed bowling, fishing, photography, and model railroads.
Clyde was a retired commander for the United States Navy.
A burial will be at Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli, IL.
