Harry E. Buck Clifton was born and raised in Hood County, the son of Ben Clifton. He was a resident of Port Arthur for many years. He died at age 64 on May 5, 1966 in Port Arthur. Survivors included his wife, Emma; two daughters of Lubbock and Loraine and daughter, Mrs. W.M. Knox of Corpus Christi; one son, James D. Clifton serving in Vietnam; two step-daughters of Sulphur, Louisiana and Lake Charles Louisiana; seventeen grandchildren; one step-grandchild and two sisters: Mrs. D.T. Gilliam of Granbury and Mrs. Luke Finley of Baird. Funeral services were held at the Acton Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment was at Acton Cemetery. Pallbearers were S.D. Gilliam, Charles Finley, Jesse, Billy Rash, Charlie Rhea and John Cleveland. Arrangements were by Martin Funeral Home.
