Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Etta Minyard, 48, resident of McCarley, were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday March 24, 1991 at North Winona Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Bishop officiating, assisted by Dr. Harold Richardson. Burial was in Mission Cemetery.

Mrs. Minyard died Friday, March 22 of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Mrs. Leslie Scott Rodgers and the late Mrs. Lela Elmore Rodgers and the wife of Larry Minyard.

A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Minyard was a clerk at Fred's Pharmacy and a member of North Winona Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Minyard of McCarley; her father, Leslie Scott Rodgers of Winona; her step-mother, Mrs. Ben Robia Rodgers of Winona; her two daughters, Miss Lela Dawn Minyard and Miss Cynthia Belle Minyard, both of McCarley; her two sons, Chuck Parker of Biloxi and Glenn Minyard of Winona; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Brown of Hernando and Mrs. Faye Barry of Decatur, Alabama; a brother, Norton Rodgers of Winona; and two grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were Mike Brown, Kenneth Brown, Richard Barry, Chris Barry, Stan Rodgers and Brad Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Bowles, Bobby Kendrick and Bruce Welch.

Oliver Funeral Home in Winona was in charge of arrangements.
