Mr. Fastner was born and raised in St Paul Minnesota, graduating from the Mechanic Arts High School and the University of Minnesota in 1951. He served in the US Army Air Force conducting weather research while flying in a P-61 Black Widow aircraft. Frank was a licensed pilot. Anyone who knew Frank Fastner knew he loved to fly airplanes!
He is survived by his wife (of Tennessee); his two daughters and son-in-law (of Chicago); his two granddaughters (of Chicago); his sister and her husband (of Cottage Grove MN); another sister (of Woodbury MN); and many nieces and nephews.
