Billy graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock in 1973. He then attended Tarleton State University and The University of Texas before graduating from Loretta Heights College in Colorado. He then attended, graduated from and later taught at The Boulder School of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colorado. He also taught at The Austin School of Massage Therapy and The Dallas School of Massage Therapy as well as teaching many various workshops at Texas Tech University and other locations throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
He did not want a formal memorial service or a funeral after his death and so in honor of his wishes the body will be cremated in Vancouver and scattered on the beach in Mexico at a later date. The family invites friends to please join them for a celebration of his life to be held at Harrigan's Restaurant located at 3827 50th Street in Lubbock on Saturday Jan. 19th at 7 p.m.
