Jeremy William Bond passed into life eternal on April 8th, 2022 in Arroyo Grande, CA. This, after living a life of service to multitudes of people in many locations, ultimately sharing that life to the end, with his beloved wife of 59 years, Kathy R. Bartlett-Bond. Born in July 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Jeremy grew up in New York State. After graduation from Kenyon College, he attended the General Theological Seminary, and in 1962, was ordained as a deacon in the Episcopal Church. He began working at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in New York City. He also married Kathy, and they began a family. In the mid to late 1960's, the Bonds relocated to Pennsylvania after Jeremy had been given the opportunity for different work within the Episcopal Church. He became curate at St. Stephen's, Harrisburg, then parish priest at St. Paul's Church also in Harrisburg, and stayed there until 1979, when opportunity called again. At that point, he assumed the reins as parish priest at St. Matthew's Church, in Sunbury, PA. Later in his tenure at Sunbury, Jeremy also assumed the duties vicar of St. Mark's Church, in Northumberland, PA across the Susquehanna River from Sunbury. He stayed at those posts until 2003, when retirement beckoned. Retiring, and deciding to look for their next place to enjoy their adventure, they moved to California.
