Mark Anthony Smothers, age 60 of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, peacefully at his home. He was born November 10, 1961 in Bradfordsville. He formerly worked as a logger and construction worker. He enjoyed planting flowers and gardening. He was preceded in death by his son, Garland Dale Smothers (June 11, 2020); his infant great granddaughter, Ava Rose Whitehouse (April 6, 2022); his parents, Jacob "Jake" and Lettie Bell Gribbins Smothers; two sisters, Betty Ann Rakes and Mary Frances Garrett; one brother, Jerry Smothers. Survivors include one son, two grandchildren, four sisters, seven brothers, and friends . Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Deacon Dennis May will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation is 10 am until time of service on Wednesday.
