"Forty-four out of 76 alien residents of Sacramento county, examined in the superior court yesterday before Judge Charles O. Busick as to their eligibility for admission to American citizenship, by Fred Littleton, assistant chief naturalization examiner and special assistant to the United States attorney general, successfully passed the naturalization examination and were ordered by the court to be admitted to citizenship." Among the list of new citizens listed is Sant Martello.
According to his WWI draft registration signed 12 Sep 1918 he was a blacksmith's helper for the Western Pacific Railroad, living at 3102 Sacramento Blvd; according to his WWII registration he is a caretaker for the City of Sacramento in the parking department, at that time he lived at 3701 5th Avenue in Sacramento, in both records he is married to Josephine.

Sant Martello, City Park Aide, Dies At Age 74
"Sant Martello, 74, of 3701 Fifth Avenue, a retired City Parks Department employee, died in a local hospital yesterday.
Martello, a native of Italy, had lived in Sacramento 41 years. He was a member of Oak Park Aerie 1714 F.O.E.
Services will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Klumpp's and at 10:00 a.m. in St Mary's Church. Rosary will be recited today at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St Mary's Lawn.
Survivors include his widow Josephine; six children, Carl, Cosman, Joe and Frank Martello, Mrs. Joe Antone (Katherine) and Mrs. Lawrence Fortado (Nancy); a brother Sam Martello; a sister Mickey Boddy, all of Sacramento; and eight grandchildren."
