Margaret Joyce Zimmerman, age 67, departed the Earth to be with her Lord on June 1, 2022. She was born January 25, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas to Ben and Lorene Davis.

Margie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married the love of her life, Michael, in 1973 and together they raised four daughters. Margie was deeply nurturing, and after decades of being a stay-at-home mom, spent further years caring for her grandchildren. She adored her family and proudly shared the accomplishments of each child and grandchild at every opportunity, always eager to share stories about their lives.

Margie's life was distinguished by a whole-hearted commitment to her faith in Jesus. Her well-worn Bible, margins filled with notes and cross-references and a thousand highlights, rarely left her side. At any given time, you could find her engrossed in a Bible study with books spread all around and Christian music playing, or out enjoying nature on hours-long walks. Margie spent her adult life deeply immersed in her local church community. "Miss Margie" was known to her church family as a faithful prayer warrior with a deeply generous heart. Always happy to give to anyone in need, she was diligent to support missionaries and the ministries of the church. She shared deeply in the community's successes and joys, as well as its pain and mourning. It was the height of her joy as the church embraced her husband, Michael, upon his salvation after years of fervent prayer.

In 2012, Margie began her battle with Alzheimer's Disease. While the journey has been painful, and it's difficult to lose her presence here on earth, we all know that she is now experiencing the fullness of life in a way that she hasn't in years. We are overjoyed that she at this moment is with the Lord to whom she was so dedicated, and reunited with the husband she missed so deeply.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Zimmerman; her parents, Ben and Lorene Davis; her brother, Billy Davis, and her sister, Barbara Canten.

She is survived by her daughters, Christi (Will) Russell, Keasha (Eric) Montgomery, Jessica (Mike) Belote, and Niki Zimmerman; and her grandchildren: Alex and Ryan Belote; Fisher, Maggie, and Tate Russell; and Adam and Olivia Montgomery. She is also survived by her siblings, Cleon (Janice) Davis, Ann (James) Lee, Jerry (Sheree) Davis, Emma Hance, and Suzy (Rick) Sellers.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 6, 2022, at Oak Bowery Baptist Church at 10:30am. Burial will be in Oak Bowery Cemetery.
