Macie Adams Parrish, 99, of Fayetteville, formerly of Bunnlevel, NC, entered into Jesus loving arms on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 while surrounded by her family.
Macie was born in Harnett County to the late Jeff Adams and Mattie Young Adams and was the last surviving of eight children.
She was a member of Layton Chapel Baptist Church and a faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and caring for others.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Glaydon Parrish; son, Lacy Parrish; granddaughter, Sherry Price; her twin brother, Melvin Adams; brothers, James Adams, Glenn Adams, Marvin Adams, Billy Adams; and sisters, Ruth Knowles and Ruby Denning. What a joyous reunion it must have been.
Macie leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her children, Lester Parrish, Bonnie Parrish Lott, Jerry Parrish, Evelyn Parrish Hymes, and Peggy Parrish Price; grandchildren, Barry Parrish, Scott Parrish, Nicki Wicker, Diane Atkinson, Donna Wiggs, Gary Ashley, Adam Parrish, Glenda Holmes, Matt Parrish, David Moore, Jamie Bain, and 31 great and 39 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service honoring Macie's life on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 1:30 PM in the chapel of Adcock Funeral Home in Spring Lake, NC. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM.
