Clara Neta Mann, age 89, of Cooks Run Road, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at the Springfield Center in Lindside, WV. Born February 25, 1930, in Secondcreek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Claude S. and Rossie M. Vance Dalton. Clara was a member of the Assurance Baptist Church in Lindside, WV. Early in life, she served as a governess in the D.C. area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis "Dink" Mann; five brothers, Melvin, Eldon, Joe, Elbert, and Claude Dalton; one sister, Euna Mae Mann; and two infant children, Larry and Sharon. Survivors include one sister, Rita Davis of Beckley, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Bob Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Keaton Cemetery in Greenville, WV. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
