Jenette was born to Andy and Alice A. (Marsh) Monroe. She attended school at Dougherty and lived in Johnston County until 1997 when she moved to Ardmore. She married Z. B. Love September 18, 1969, at Jacksonville, Florida. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1979; and a brother, George Freels Jr. Survived by three sisters, Elizabeth O'Dell, Lottie M. Jackson and Delorce Rhodes.
