• LITTLE CITY -- Services for Robert D. Rutledge, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Little City Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wigington officiating. Interment will be at Woodberry Forest Cemetery.
Rutledge was born Sept. 18, 1915, at Waurika, to Fleet V. ("Frank") and Nobia K. Sanders Rutledge. He died May 25, 2000, in Dallas.
Reared at Walters, he lived in Madill the past 40 years and was a former oil field worker and school bus driver. He was a member of Little City Baptist Church. He and Opal Pollard were married Oct. 14, 1939, at Checotah. She preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Emerson, Clinton, and Charles, Henryetta; a daughter, Katie Gonzalez, Madill; and eight grandchildren.
Bearers will be Fred Goodson, Marland Pruitt, Steve Rice, Hank, Donnie and Ronnie Hartin.
Watts Funeral Home will direct services.
