Obituary -
Thelma Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W H. Creitz, of Beloit, Kansas, was born Jan. 4, 1904, and died Jan. 5, 1911, aged 7 years and one day. When but a few months old, disease deprived her of the sense of hearing. A short time ago she was placed in the college at Olathe, in order to give her the benefit which that institution offers. The officials thought very favourably of her case, and fond hopes were indulged in by her parents and friends for the recovery of her hearing.
Last Sabbath little Thelma was stricken with pneumonia, and the death angel came soon. She was an intelligent and affectionate child, being much attached to her little play mates. No doubt she is now listening to the music of heaven, and will stand ready to welcome her loved ones to that bright shore.
A service was held at the college Jan. ti, and that afternoon the remains were brought to Beloit. Jan. 6, a snort service was held at the home in Beloit, conducted by the Rev. E P. Michener, after which the remains were taken to the Pleasant View Chapel, where the Rev. W. A Pierce conducted a funeral service and the body was laid to rest in the Pleasant View cemetery. The little casket was literally covered with flowers. Those sent by the school at Olathe, were especially beautiful.
