Alfred Nathaniel Hickman - Son of William Frank Hickman and Harriet Emiline Locklin.

Brother of Adelia "Delia", Robert Adono, Alfred Nathaniel "Buddy", James Richard "Jimbo", Maude Lee, Willie Mae, Myrtle Pearl, Thomas Franklin, Jesse R and Milton Charles Hickman.

Alfred married, 14 Sept 1902 in the Indian Territory, Southern District (now part of Carter Co., OK), Safroney Elizabeth "Lizzie" Fitts. After the death of Lizzie, Alfred married, 20 Nov 1907, Ida L. Taylor. There are 2 marriage records for the same date (20 Nov 1907) for Alfred and Ida - one in Grayson Co., TX, the other in Hopkins Co., TX.

ALFRED HICKMAN

Alfred Hickman, 89, 1363 E. Sierra Ave., a Tulare farmer for the past 42 years, died Sunday in a Tulare convalescent hospital. He was a native of Marland [Milam] County, Tex.

Survivors include his wido, Ida, Tulare; a daughter, Mrs. Bernie Couch, Ardmore, Okla.; a foster daughter, Mrs. Navelle [Novelle] Brown, Tulare; a brother, Frank Hickman, Bald Knob, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Marty [Maudie] Murch, Mrs. Willie Nevens [Nivens] and Mrs. Myrtle Keathley, Tulare; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Peers Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Wallace Hastings of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery.
