Mrs. Birdie Lou Shipman

Mrs. Birdie Lou Shipman of 3311 E. Rosedale, Fort Worth, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 1977, at the All Saints Hospital, Fort Worth, from injuries she received in a pedestrian-automobile accident, December 10, 1977.

Funeral services were held at Cooper-Sorrels Chapel Honey Grove, at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, with the Rev. Benny Richardson officiating. Internment was made at New Salem Cemetery at Selfs. Grandsons were pallbearers.

Mrs. Shipman was born at Direct May 11, 1898, the daughter of George W. and Rosie Ashley. She was married to Lonnie Jacob Shipman wh preceded her in death February 5, 1960. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Fort Worth.

Survivors include one son, Joe Mac Shipman of Fort Worth; eight daughters, Mrs. Clifford Tredway of Fort Worth, Mrs. Weldon Robertson of Pecan Gap, Mrs. Charlene Ridley of the home, Mrs. Walter White of Windom, Mrs. Joe Finlayson of Granbury, Mrs. Gene Hayes of Amarillo, Mrs. George Noah of Camas, Washington and Mrs. Tolliver of Paris; thirty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces.
