PARRISH
Friends in this city of Mrs. P. P. Parrish were deeply grieved at the news of her death Saturday at her home in Midway. She was formerly Miss Emma Magoffin, of Harrodsburg, and a noted beauty in her young womanhood. She was 65 years of age and survived her husband Mr. Philemon P. Parrish, only a few weeks, being the third of the family to pass away within three months, the other death being that of their eldest daughter. Mrs. Parrish, who was a charming and lovely woman, had been in failing health for a bout a year and a half, and last week her relatives here were notified of her serious condition, and her sister, Mrs. Charles Hardin, Sr., went immediately to her bedside. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at the home in Midway, Rev. Mark Collis and Rev. R. S. Wilson officiating, and the interment was in the family lot in the Lexington cemetery. She is survived by three children, Mr. Charles Parrish and Mrs. Breckinridge Viley, of Woodford county, and Mrs. H. B. Folk, of Nashville, Tenn. Two sisters, Mrs. Charles Hardin, Sr., of this place, and Mrs. O. N. Turner, of Texas, and a brother, Mr. B. M. Magoffin, of Monango, North Dakota, also survive her.
