William Seitter was the 3rd son of German immigrants, Christopher and Christena Seitter,. He drew a claim in the Kiowa-Camanche,Oklahoma land opening of 1901. The claim was in Caddo Co. near Lookeba. He married Grace Emmons, of Okeene,OK May 2,1906. The family lived on the Caddo Co. claim until Feb. 1919, when the family moved to a farm west of Geary OK, having purchased the farm of Will's father, Christopher Seitter. The family farmed, and Will(Col. Billie) pursued a career in auctioneering, specializing in livestock and farm sales. Will and Grace removed to Geary in Nov. 1943 where Will died in 1948. They were the parents of nine siblings, eight of which are listed below. Dorothy Belle Seitter Woodruff, 1922-1988, died in Searcy, White County, Arkansas.
