Raymond was a native of Gadsden, AL and lived most of his life in Lincoln, AL. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served on the Lincoln City Council for 8 years. He formerly worked for A.E. Burgess Construction and retired from Ashland Oil Company. He was a longtime member of Eastaboga Masonic Lodge #155. Raymond enjoyed fishing, gardening, and bowling.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife Frances Combs Lane, son Jimmy Lane (Sharon), extended generations.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eula and Frank Lane, wife Elna Lane, son Jeff Lane, granddaughter Jennifer Lane McCoy, and sister Kathryn Greene
