Douglas L. "Pep" Andry, 81, of rural Carroll County, IN, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 8:48 PM at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, IN. He has been a resident there for the past 2 months.

He was born in Crawford County, IN to the late Levi and Mable (Smith) Andry. Douglas graduated from Paoli High School in 1959. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a member of the Logansport American Legion. Douglas worked on the farm crew and later as an electrician at the Logansport State Hospital for several years.

His marriage was to Laverne Crowe on August 31, 1968 in Delphi, IN and she preceded him in death on March 16, 2020. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and hanging out with his buddies. Douglas gave freely of his time to help many friends and family with their electrical needs and was also there to help where needed.

Surviving are two children; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and seven siblings. Douglas was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie and Marietta; and two brothers, Novy and Boss.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 12 PM until his funeral service at 2 PM at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Burial will be at Paint Creek Cemetery, near Camden, IN.
