Willis Moore Dies at 63
Willis E. Moore, 63, 502 South High, El Dorado, Ks., died Monday at Susan B. Allen Memorial hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Melvin Short will officiate. Internment is to be in the Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Moore was born Dec. 20, 1907 in Leota, Kansas. He married Elizabeth C. Truman on Oct. 17, 1930 in
El Dorado, Kansas.
He owned the Moore Grocery store, and he built the Loc-Mor club the last year he worked for Mid Town Produce. He was a member of the First United Methodist church, and a charter member of the Moose and Elk clubs.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Zieman, Mrs. Carolyn Scott, and Miss Kathy Moore of the home; one half brother Allen Thomason of Manhattan; three grandsons and one granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Eugene Moore.
A memorial has been established in his name with the Heart Fund.
