Diane Delores Vaughn was born November 9, 1959 to the union of Erma Burris and Walter Vaughn, James Patton. Diane departed this life on April 25, 2022. She was the eldest of 5 girls and 1 boy. Diane accepted Christ at the early age of 9 and attended church throughout her life until her passing. Diane was a proud member at First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, IL where she sung in the choir and served as an usher. She was educated in the Chicago and Cairo school system. Diane had a heart of gold and the passion for taking care of others. So, she then became a CNA where she took her job very seriously. Diane enjoyed spending time with family and friends who loved her very much.
Diane is preceded in death by her mother Erma Jean Burris, Father Walter Ree Vaughn, Grandmothers, Ella Pirtle, Frances Johnson and grandfather Sam Pirtle. Also preceded in death Vanessa and Dewitt.
Diane is survived by Step Father; Thomas Burris, James Patton. Daughter; Lori Vaughn, Son; Clarence (LaShawna) Vaughn, Siblings; Francella (James), Lena, Amelia (Leroy), James and Yolanda. Diane will also be remembered by her grandchildren and great – grandchild, cousins, nieces, nephews and very special people that's been a part of our lives like family Tamara, Charolotta and Orlandis "Punch". Very close friends Angela Purdiman and Annette Welch.
Service for Diane D. Vaughn will take place on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, IL. Visitation will take place at the church at 12:00 P.M. with funeral service following at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jimmy Ellis, Sr. Officiating. Burial will take place in the Green Lawn Memorial Garden in Villa Ridge, IL.
