Parents of Henry were Isaac Hinkle and Jessie Brown. He married Josephine Barcellos 1910 .

OBITUARY
Henry J Hinkle well known pioneer of this community passed away Saturday evening at the University Hospital in San Francisco. His untimely death was a severe shock to the community where he was well liked and respected by everyone. Mr Hinkle had been in poor health for several months and had re entered the hospital for observation and treatment about 2 weeks ago. When Mrs Hinkle left his bedside about a half hour before the end came. Mr Hinkle was believed to be making progress toward recovery. Thirty minutes later Mr Hinkle succumbed to a heart attack.
Deceased was the son of the late Isaac Hinkle, one of the first pioneer families to settle in this community to hew out a home in the wilderness. The old homestead on the Auburn road has been the home of Mr and Mrs Hinkle since the death of his father in 1933 and is considered one of the finest ranches in this part of the state.
Mr Hinkle was born at Ashland, California, in October 1888, and was 54 years of age at the time of his death. He attended the local schools and St Mathews Military Academy. Mr Hinkle married Josephine Barcellos in 1910. He spent a number of years in Sacramento where he was employed by the Southern Pacific and the Shell Oil Company as a salesman. Later he operated a service station in Sacramento but returned to the ranch after the death of his father.
Mr Hinkle was of a retiring disposition and was liked by everyone with whom he came in contact.
Funeral services were held in Sacramento Tuesday July 7, from the Chapel of the Flowers. The Rev. John Dunlop of the Folsom Community Church officiated. Interment was made in East Lawn Cemetery.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, Mrs Josephine Hinkle; one son Noel, The Folsom Telegraph extends sincere sympathy to the breaved family.
