Dr. Whitley (whose main office was in Mint Hill, NC, but he definitely saw patients in the northwestern part of Union County which bordered the Mint Hill area) wrote the cemetery as "Watson Grove" on the death certificate. There is no Watson Grove* in Union County and given that the informant was Alice Reid, also buried at Watts Grove and a well-known midwife, it is believed that the infant is buried at Watts Grove along with his parents and other siblings.
*there is a Watson Baptist Church, an entirely different church
