Stephen J. Leale (1928-1974) was killed in an automobile accident on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Sgt. Stephen Leale, Supply Aide At Armory. Fort Lee, New Jersey. Army S. Sgt. Stephen J. Leale, 45, was killed Monday in an automobile accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. He was the administrative supply technician for the 104th Engineers Battalion of the New Jersey National Guard and was stationed at the Teaneck Armory. Sgt. Leale was a veteran of the Korean conflict, and also had been stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Fort Lee Veterans of Foreign War post. He was born in New York. Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Thompson; five sisters, Fannie Arffmann of Pompano Beach, Florida, Theresa Joyce and Josephine De Gaetani, both of Fort Lee, Marianna Beahn of Worcester, Massachusetts, and Angelina Torrellas of New York; and a brother, Paul of Fort Lee. The V.F.W. post will hold services tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., Ridgefield. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview. Friends may call today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
