Daughter of John F. Myers and Miss Johnson; first wife of Mertie Shober Shumate. While this stone shows the name of her husband, Mertie Shober Shumate, and I'm sure it was anticipated he would be buried with her, he is actually buried with his second wife, Ann Stamper, at Mountlawn, on Highway 18, Wilkes Co. NC.
