Janet S. Addison formerly of Nashville, IN passed away peacefully September 26, 2019 at Garden Villa Bloomington. She was 68. Janet was born January 20, 1951 in Indianapolis to Harold and Mary Lou Jarrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Thomas Jarrett and a nephew Adam Jarrett. She is survived by son Phillip Addison of Bloomington, daughter April (Scott) Jaco and grandson Eli Jaco both of Benton, KY; brothers David (Susie) Jarrett of Huntington, IN, Kevin (Sheri) Jarrett of Mohawk, IN; and sister Debbie (Tim) Robinson if Morristown, IN and nine nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Janet graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1969 and attended Indiana Central College (now University of Indianapolis). She was a secretary at Jane Gore Realty, worked in the box office at Ski World and was a cashier at CVS Pharmacy for 15 years. She was a devoted Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher in Helmsburg.
Janet moved to Bloomington in 2008 and retired in 2013. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and rooting for the Indiana Pacers. She was a fan of Lloyd Wood and attended scores of his live shows at the Red Barn and Ski World in Nashville. She also attended many Monroe County Civic Theatre productions including the yearly Shakespeare in the Park productions.
A Celebration of Life service will be at United Presbyterian Church, 1701 E. Second St., Bloomington at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 19 with Rev. John Napoli officiating. Cremation was at Cremation Society of Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Monroe County Civic Theatre, P.O. Box 2032, Bloomington, IN 47402.
