She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vance Hawkins; sons, Robert Vance Hawkins "Rob" and Russell Todd Hawkins; parents, Roscoe Jefferson Russell and Lorene Nichols Russell Huffman.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Holly Hawkins Bazinet, of Northport; grandchildren, Calhoun Taylor Hawkins, Philip E. Bazinet II, Christopher Robert Bazinet, Haley Rose Woolford, Andrew Paul Bazinet, Lindsey Todd Hawkins, and Brandy Lee English; and 13 great grandchildren.
Marian R. Hawkins was born in Columbus, Ga, November 27, 1925. She grew up in the bay of Fairhope until she attended The University of Alabama where she received a degree in Sociology and met her loving husband Robert Hawkins. Together they had three children, 7 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Marian devoted her life to being a mother and grandmother. She spent her life traveling the world, reading books, reflecting in prayer, eating good food, taking family trips, and tending to her garden. She loved her family and the Lord above all else. Her humor, smile, generosity, and overall presence will be missed forever.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Hawkins, Philip E. Bazinet II, Christopher Bazinet, Andrew Bazinet, Timothy English, Grant Bazinet, Luke Bazinet, and Randy Woolford.
