Ben was born in Sweet Springs, son of Morris and Betty Johnson Stoner. On Jan 11 1922 in K.C. he married Inga Christine Hendrickson who died in 1972. He wa a member of the Independence Boulevard Christian church Kansas City. the Blue Lodge of Sedalia and the American Legion . He was an Army Veteran of World War I. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a brakeman and later as a conductor for 49 years.Hired as a brakeman July 20 1915 and promoted to conductor Sept. 27 1926..
