Celestine Joseph "Celly" Bieker, 94, formerly of Hays, died Wednesday, Jan 9, 2008, at Ellis Good Samaritan Center. He was born Nov. 27, 1913 in Schoenchen to Theobald and Ann (Stecklein) Bieker.

He was a self-employed farmer-stockman. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen, and Holy Name Society of St. Anthony Parish.

Survivors include a brother, Edward Bieker, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Alvina Wierman, Ellis Good Samaritan Center, and Blanche Schuler, Hays Good Samaritan Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Laverne Bieker and Clarence Bieker; and two sisters, Josie Unruh and Florentine Davis.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Schoenchen; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, both Brock's North Hill Chapel 2509 Vine. A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony Church in care of the chapel.
