Udall Items (heading)

This community was shocked Saturday morning when the sad news became known that Mrs. Clarence Boots had passed away, after an illness of several months. Mr. and Mrs. Boots were making plans on leaving Udall Monday night for an indefinite stay with Mrs. Boots' daughter, in Denison, Texas, with the expectiation that the change of climate would prove beneficial to her health. Mr. Boots had a public sale last Friday and during the sale Mr. Boots was called to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grant, where Mrs. Boots was staying, by the sudden change in her condition and she gradually grew worse until death relieved her of her intense suffering. Mrs. Boots had resided in the Udall vicinity for many years and was very well known and highly respected. She was a woman of lovely traits of character which endeared her to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Addie Kemp of Denison, Texas, Mrs. R.L. Baird of Minnesota, W.S. Hollister of Texas, V.H. Hollister "somewhere in France." and six brothers, John, James, Ed and Will Grant of Udall, L.G. Grant of Wichita and Node Grant of Norwich.
