A service to celebrate the life of Douglas Wyant,74, will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Camden First Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Phillip Gerrald, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.

Jesus said, "Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying" (John 11:25, NLT). He promised, "I am going to prepare a place for you in my Father's house. When your place is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me" (John 14:2-3, paraphrased from NLT). On Thursday, May 5th, 2022, Jesus came to take Douglas home.

A native of Camden, he was born May 17, 1947, the eldest child of the late Elbert and Wilma Wyant. He served four years in the U. S. Army Security Agency, including a year in South Vietnam, as a communication monitor. He retired as a printer operator from Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. He was a member of Camden First Baptist Church, where he taught a Sunday school class.

He enjoyed reading and writing. He was the author of A Pilgrim's Prayers (Courier Publishing, 2021), a collection of prayer-poems.
