Mr Pace died Sunday afternoon in Nacogdoches hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born on May 11, 1932 to Jim Raegan Pace and Tiny Berenice Hooker Pace in Cushing and was a lifetime resident.He was retired electrician with Rusk State Hospital,He was a member of Cushing First United Methodist Church.Survivors include his wife, Ruby Pirtle Pace, Cushing; one Son, Jimmy Pace, Cushing; one brother, Ray Pace, Cushing; And two Grandchildren.

Entered Into Eternal Rest Sunday, December 22, 1991
CUSHING - Services for Joe Hardy Pace, 59, Cushing, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cushing First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Conrad officiating.
Burial will be in Cushing Cemetery under direction of Dickie Allen Funeral Home of Cushing.
Mr Pace died Sunday afternoon in a Nacogdoches hospitol after a sudden illness.
He was born May 11, 1932, in Cushing and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired electrician with Rusk State Hospitol, president of Cushing Housing Development Corporation and a member of Cushing Lions Club. He owned and operated a hardware store in Cushing for several years, was a member of Cushing Fire Department where he served several years as Fire Chief, and a member of Cushing First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby, one son Jimmy, one brother Ray, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bob Wade, Jerry Bowers, Joe Dawson, A. W. Clemons, Lynn Moore, and Jerry Don Williamson.
Honorary pallbearers are Murry Beckham, Kelvin Gentry and Ronnie Gresham.
