Alice I. Colpetzer, 90, of Pleasant Gap, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born in Bellefonte on May 20, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Susan (Moyer) Horner. In 1958 she married her beloved husband, William F. Colpetzer, who preceded her in death in 1990, after sharing 32 years of marriage together.

Alice was a graduate of Bellefonte High School. She and her husband owned and operated a cleaning company for many years. However, the job that she took such pride in was dedicating her life to raising her family and taking care of her home.

She is survived by her four children, Michael Shawver (Amy), Mary Painter (late Charles), Samuel "Butch" Shawver (Ruth), and John Shawver (Cathy), nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Linda Bechdel, and one brother, Ward Horner.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mickey and Jeffrey Shawver, and one sister, Alma Horner.

Alice was a past member of Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and gardening. She especially loved the time that she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
