Jacqueline S. Amstutz, 90, of Attica, and former Shelby resident passed away Sunday, evening May 1, 2022, at the Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Jacqueline was born June 1, 1931, in Shelby, to Roy and Katheryn (Cook) Auck. She married Lester J. Amstutz on June 1, 1951, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina and he later preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Tanya ( Timothy) Nagel of Bloomville, Taretha Amstutz of Mansfield, Merrilee Brown of Minnesota, a son, Mark (Tara) Amstutz of Illinois, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two children, Gary and Marla Amstutz, a granddaughter, Amy Roop, two brothers, Leroy and Roger Auck and a sister, Marion Cornett.

Jacqueline was a 1949 graduate of Shelby High School and was a past president of the Shelby American Legion Post 326 Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked for many years at Shelby Business Forms before retiring.

The family is having private family graveside services at the Tiro Oakland Cemetery in Tiro, with Rev. Ronald Spyker officiating.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Attica Jr. Fair (Raise the Roof Fund) in care of the Attica Jr. Fair or the Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, P.O. Box 205 Bloomville, Ohio 44818. The Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19 Bloomville, is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
