Mr. Christopher is survived by one son, Eli Christopher and wife, Emily of Athens; one daughter, Linda Atkinson and husband, Thomas of Elkmont; five grandchildren, Anna Lea Atkinson, Laura Garrett, Lana Atkinson, Colin Christopher and Samuel Christopher; three great-grandchildren, Lindlee Brooke Garrett, Addison Lea Nelson, Gunner Lee Garrett
Preceded in death his wife of 66 years, Barbara B. Christopher; parents John and Mary Christopher; siblings Carlos Christopher, Frances Kennemer, Nick Christopher, Harold Christopher, Cecil Christopher, James Allen Christopher and Martha Jane Benfante.
A funeral service will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Ross Clemmons officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Christopher loved time with his family. He always enjoyed card games with friends, fishing, playing his guitar, going to events with his square-dancing club, and attending property auctions. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities and bar-b-ques with friends. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed every minute he could spending time on the farm. Some of his most fond moments were spent with his father-in-law, Redus Barker. Norris and Redus spent many hours together on farm activities, fishing, hunting, and just "shooting the breeze."
After serving his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Christopher was a civil servant with NASA & the Army Missile Command on Redstone Arsenal, where he retired at 55. After retirement, he purchased and operated a mini storage business for 10 years.
