Ethel was born April 19, 1934, to the late Walter H. and Annie Evans Brown. She devoted her life, along with her husband Bud, to care for their special needs son, Wayne. She enjoyed gardening and could grow a flower out of a rock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Claude "Bud" Elliott, sister, Phyllis Long, brother, Guthrie Brown and son in law, Gary Bass.
She is survived by sons Wayne Elliott, Michael Elliott (Robbin), daughters Robin Bass, Lisa Bell (Julian), grandchildren Jeremy Pegram (Allison), Josh Pegram (Kathleen) and Tonya Elliott; and great grandchildren Elliott and Luke Pegram
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 3,2022, 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with grandson Rev. Jeremy Pegram officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service.
The family would like to express their special heartfelt thanks to her caregiver, Barbara Driggs and to the wonderful staff at AuthoraCare of Greensboro.
