Ray E. Grosswiler, 80, of Lorain, died Friday April 29, 2022 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.

He was born June 30, 1941 in Norwalk and had resided in Lorain for over 45 years. He had also lived in the Phoenix, Arizona area where he graduated from Phoenix Union High School.

Ray worked as an electrician at the Lorain and Avon Lake Ford Assembly Plants retiring in 2003. Later, he drove a school bus for Murray Ridge School.

He enjoyed fishing, reading and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 8 years, children and their spouses; stepchildren; 12 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren and sister. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Grosswiler (nee Bandagski), parents Karl & Lorana Grosswiler (nee Stone) and sister Karline Zuk.

The family will receive friends Thursday May 5,2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Additional visitation will be held Friday May 6, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The pastor of Bethel Chapel, will preside. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
