Kathryn Marjorie Harvey, 99, of Clarksburg, WV passed away Monday June 16th, 2014 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born September 22nd, 1914, the daughter of the late Amos and Lillie Stemple.
She was also preceded in death by her husband S. Ross Harvey in June of 1999 as well as two sisters, Eva Wotring and Bertha Jeter and four brothers; Paul, Frank, Pete and Ted Stemple.
She is survived by her two sons; James Harvey of Oxford, PA and David and Janet Harvey of Temperance, MI.. Kathryn is the proud grandmother of five grandchildren as well as 8 great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Harvey was a member of the Stealey United Methodist Church in Clarksburg, WV, as well as a member of the United Methodist Women where she belonged to a quilting circle that made quilts to give to the needy. Kathryn was also a volunteer at United Hospital Center.
Friends will be received at Davis- Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV 26301 from 2-4 & 6-8 on Friday, where a service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, June 21st, 2014 with the Reverend Jennifer J. Roller-Otto presiding. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery at Aurora, WV.
