Barbara Ford Neher, 52, Danville, died September 18, 2004 at her [Danville] home. She was born [in Indianapolis] May 14, 1952 to Frank Henry and Mary (Tharp) Myers. She worked 25 years with her father as an accountant for Frank Myers Accounting and Tax Service, Danville. Mrs. Neher was active in politics serving the Republican Party in various capacities as well as serving Hendricks County as an elected member of the County Council (1988 to 1994) and as Assessor for 10 years [as Barbara Ford]. She was a member of Whitestone Christian Church in New Winchester and Kappa Kappa Kappa, Delta Chapter. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday September 23 with visitation from Noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday September 22, both in the church, located 7 miles west of Danville of US 36. Burial: Danville South Cemetery. Survivors: mother Mary Myers; husband Joe Neher; sons William Andrew (and wife Heather) Ford of Danville and Eric Simon Neher of Indianapolis; sister Brenda (and husband Dave) Phelps of North Salem. Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Barbara Ford Neher Leukemia Foundation in care of Whitelick Heritage Community Foundation, 5055 E Main Street, Suite A, Avon, Indiana 46123.
