Buffie Michelle Blackstone Lawson, 52, of Griffin, wife of Martin Dean Lawson, died Monday, April 25, 2022 at Wesllstar Spalding Hospital.
Born in Eastpoint, November 4, 1969, she was a daughter of James Edward Blackstone, Jr. and the late Carol Annette Lord Blackstone. Mrs. Lawson earned a Master's Degree from the School of Engineering at Mercer University and was retired from Griffin Technical College where she taught computer programming. She was a huge animal lover and had rescued many animals in her life. She especially loved turtles. She had a wonderful heart for people and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father of Griffin is a sister, Bonnie Leigh Blackstone of Newnan; four Godchildren, Donovan, Leigh-Ann, Jonothan and Blake.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Westview Cemetery with Reverend Don Sansbury officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home.
