Mrs. Borcherding, daughter of the late Julius Vohs and wife Ida, nee Glaser, was born July 26, 1927, in Owensville. She received her education from Owensville High School, graduating in 1945. On Aug. 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to Alfred Borcherding at St. Peter's U.C.C. in Owensville.
Among her survivors are three children, Brad Borcherding and wife Lolita, New Haven, Kim Lapeyre, Washington, and Lisa Housson and husband Joe B., Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Greg Cox and wife Jackie, Pine, Colorado, Elizabeth Jasper and husband Jeff, Wentzville, Christopher Lapeyre, Fulton, Jonathan Lapeyre and fiancee Brenda Cisneros, College Station, Texas, Ryan Lapeyre, Washington, Jacob Housson and wife Lindsey, Cypress, Texas, and Tracy Kepp and husband Travis, Pinehurst, Texas; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Borcherding; her parents; and four siblings, Henry Vohs, Alvin Vohs, Frances Seal and Lauralie Mohesky.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, from 1-3 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington, with a memorial service following at 3 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Honor Flight or a charity of donor's choice.
