David C. Moore, Sr. of Lowman, NY passes away peacefully Tuesday April 12, 2022, at the home of his son. He was born in Horseheads, NY the first baby of 1940 in Chemung County on January 10, 1940, son of the late Kenneth & Blanche (VanOstrand) Moore. Following graduation from high school Dave enlisted in the US Navy. He served aboard the USS Edisto (AGB 2) an ice breaker that worked in Antarctica. Following his return from the service he married the former Mary (Clark) Moore who predeceased him. He was employed at Kennedy Valve his whole life and retired following 39 years of dedicated service. An avid outdoors person he had a true love for fishing and hunting. He was also a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Dave also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughters, Joy L. Ford of Piscataway, NJ, Theresa M. (Chris) Frutchey of Elmira Heights, David C. (Heather) Moore, Jr. of Lowman, Daniel L. (Karri) Moore of Nichols, grandchildren, David III, Emily, Hannah, Jonathon, Joshua, Kyle, four great-grandchildren, Eli, Jack, Gracie, John, a sister Mary Hughson of Wellsburg and several nieces, nephews and friends.

David was predeceased by is parents, his loving wife Mary (Clark) Moore, his son-in-law, Mike Ford, sisters, Lucille, Marion Kathy and Brothers, Robert, and Kenneth Moore.
