Following high school graduation, Cecelia lived with her parents on the farm.
On March 3, 1943, she married Cliff Dart.
They farmed in Algoma, WI until 1948 when Cliff suffered a spinal injury. The farm was sold in 1951 and they moved to Green Bay where Cecelia started working at Schreiber Foods in 1952 doing lab work and then became a Technical Director Helper in quality control. She left Schreiber's in 1976 and worked with Cliff at Dart Insurance. They both retired in 1984.
After selling their Green Bay home in 1992, they built their permanent home at Breezy Acres on the bay in Door County. For eight years, they spent winters in Arizona and Florida. Cecelia and Cliff enjoyed playing cards, boating and an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra (Gerald) Maricque, Green Bay, WI;
a grandson, Jeffrey (Melissa) Maricque, Denmark, WI;
three granddaughters: Teresa (Frank) Schmidt, St. Augustine, FL; Tricia (Duane) DiPietro, Black Creek; and Krista (Tim) Fish, Kaukauna;
and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Dart;
her parents;
and her siblings: Joe (Elsie) Dequaine, Louise (Tony) Collins, Marie (George) Boucher, Arnold (Ruby) Dequaine, Raymond (Florence) Dequaine, Jule (Marie) Dequaine, and Rita (James) Lardinois.
Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10; followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. After the service, you are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Cecelia's Life at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Bar East, 606 Lime Kiln Rd., Green Bay. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
