Services for Amanda M. Hulce, 85, Overbrook, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Washington Creek Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in Washington Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Hulce died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Morgan County, Colo., the daughter of Frederick John and Emmaline Dorthea Louise (Golden) Magerfleisch. She attended school in Leavenworth County.

She lived in the Lawrence area until 1943, then moved to the Washington Creek community. She was a member of Washington Creek Church of the Brethren and Washington Creek Ladies Aid.

She married Eldon Charles Hulce on Dec. 22, 1936, in Platte City, Mo. He died April 18, 1985.

Survivors include three sons, John Hulce, Overbrook, Fred Hulce, El Paso, Tex., and Earl Hulce, Marietta, Ohio; three daughters, Cora Bender, Oskaloosa, Mary Gibson, Salina, and Lila Fox, Overbrook; 29 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Two grandsons and a great-granddaughter died earlier.
