Linnie Ola (Pat) Wood was born in Romayor, Texas on October 14th, 1931, to the late Robert Benjamin Patterson and Ethel Mae Allen and passed away on April 23, 2022, in Conroe, Texas at the age of 90.
Pat graduated from Tarkington Prairie High School in 1950 and married John Wood in 1951. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2004. She loved to bowl and was a faithful member of several area bowling leagues with John. Pat loved taking day trips to casinos with friends and playing coin slot machines. She loved to fish and was famous for her pinto beans and chicken and dumplings. Pat loved her diet Pepsi and would never turn down a hamburger from Burger King. You couldn't find a bigger Houston Astros fan in all of Montgomery County and her television was always tuned into an Astros game. It didn't matter if it was live, or a replay.
Pat is preceded in death by John Henry Wood (husband), Ethel May Patterson (mother), Robert Benjamin Patterson (father) and numerous other family members. She is survived by her son Johnny Wood and wife Trudy, brother Harold Ashworth and wife Cynthia, grandchildren Tyree Crews and husband Brad, Travis Wood and wife Amanda, great-grandchildren Brock Wood, Payton Crews, Paige Crews, Paxton Crews, and Parker Crews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Hall. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Conroe Memorial Park.
